Joe Hertzbach, 47 has more than 25 years of experience as a strategic consultant, entrepreneur, and executive (5 start-ups) in technology, pet, and food industries. As a customer facing strategist, he specializes in leading all stages of project management, process improvement, M&A, and developing market research strategies. Joe has worked for Fortune 1000 companies including Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Adobe, Apple, IBM, Intel, eBay, Yahoo, Toyota, Gap, PG&E. Joe has consulted with top consulting companies including HCL, Data Dimensions International, Renaissance Worldwide and Robert Half. Joe worked for a number of restaurants early in his career as a cook and baker in Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Hawai’i. Throughout the next 24 years, Joe provided private chef meals across the country for small family parties and events as large as 250 people during his free time away from the technical consulting world. He holds an M.S. in Systems Theory, Leadership, and Change and a B.A. in Anthropology from San Jose State University as well as a Masters Certificate in Consumer Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
Mohamed Essa, 42 has more than 20 years working in the food and hospitality industries. During the past decade, he has co-owned two food manufacturing companies, supplied product, and managed accounts which included Casino Viejas, Starwood Hotels, Jimbo’s Market, Bon Appétit, UCSD, Lemon Grove Unified School District, Gelson’s Market, Whole Foods Market, Universal Studios, and Chef’s Corner. From 2010 to 2014 he managed Baba Foods’ Arizona Costco Road shows increasing shelf items road show sales. Previous, he spent a decade at Starwood Hotels as Front Desk Manager implementing process improvement and quality of service improvements for a consistent above average Guest Satisfaction Index (GSI). Mohamed is a Green Belt Six Sigma Specialist.
